Hi,
It's great to see such a nice model of N-202. I own the cockpit of N-202 which unfortunately is no where near as nice looking as the model!
After service in the KLu she was returned to Hawkers for conversion into a T7 for the Chilean AF. The now redundant single seat nose went to Pinewood film studios and was used in two James Bond 007 films.
The Man with the Golden Gun - pretending to be a Russian Fighter cockpit she is winched onto the unpturned Queen Mary in Hong Kong harbour
Octopussy - Now painted white with a black 10 on the side, she is in a hanger at the start of the film being inspected by Major Torro when Bond blows up the hangar in a Bede Microplane.
Anyway here's some photos of how she looks now ... next to my Hunter F5 cockpit,WN957 which she donated here nose and belly panels to. I plan to convert N-202 into a wheelchair friendly exhibit and now have 90% of the parts to return her to her former glory.
Any photos of her in service would be greatfully received.
Cheers
Mike
